Here is some information about getting a seat in a girls hostel at Banaras Hindu University (BHU):
Admission
Hostel admission is on merit in the university's entrance exam for the course of study. The Principal, Dean, Director, or Head of the Department concerned will make the hostel allotment.
Allotment
Students have to take possession of their allotted room within a week of the allotment. If they don't, the allotment may be canceled.
Fees
The cost of accommodation in a hostel would be different with different types of hostels:
Basic: Rs. 3,000–Rs. 5,000
Standard: Rs. 5,000–Rs. 8,000
Premium: Rs. 8,000–Rs. 12,000
