i have heard about thapar repution is degrading with time? so is it a worthy choice. are the placements good for deserving students

i belong to middle class and has to think a lot before spending my mothers money. i have got 87.75 in jee with crl 143232 and also 95.8 in boards. please provide me proper guidance.
