i have interest in chemistry i want to do chemical engineering but people say there is no scope in it..please guide me about chemical engg.

i have currently given 12th boards in march..please give me the correct information about chemical engineering about jobs and salary !!!!

    Divya, I am myself a Chemical Engineer and I hope that my suggestions would do good to you. To begin with please be informed that interest in Chemistry does not mean that you have to do chemical engineering.Chemical engineering is much more or rather much different from chemistry. It is important for a chemical engineer to gather some knowledge of all other branches of engineering & more importantly develop skills of varied nature which are essentially required in an Industry. Plain chemical engineers with just an objective to work in manufacturing plants do not succeed beyond a certain point and that is very much limited. In that cas

    suggest you to give a careful thought and identify your own strengths and weaknesses. Accordingly, you may decide appropriate course for yourself.
    Advantages is money, Chemical Engineering is one of the higher payed engineering practices.
    Disadvantages is years of schooling and health. Chemical engineers are essentially a fraction of what medical doctors go through. But the path of a medical doctor is most definitely difficult.     its all about you decsion.just take a wise decsion which help you to achive ur goal.now talking about
    Chemical engineering is one of the best upcoming branch in India. It come in core branches of engineering.
    If you do it from some good colleges like NIT or IIT then you will get a good benefit of it. It has good career in plastics, nuclear plants, semi petroleum company, coal company, and many chemical related factories has vast career in chemical engineering.
