I have jst given 2nd yr xams and want to pursue vocational training. what should i prefer?? a software development or networking course?????

i am confused which course would be better among the two...networking and software development?? i know only two languages i.e c and c and have studied the normal 2nd yr b.tech syllabus....i hve no defined aim ,,,i jst want to get good percentage in my college and qualify GATE with high pecentile.
