Than follow your father :) Now coming to the point if you go for B.tech than do it from good college.Don't for RTU specially.because if you do B.tech from any private colleges than there is 80% chance that you will not get placed or placed in BPO .If any software company hires you than your salary will be 10-15 k .After B.tech you have to go for any software course than you will get placed in a good software company.
Now coming to BCA Than do BCA with good college.focus only & only on software. After BCA You can go for software job or you can go for MCA .But yes if you will be superior in software than no one stops you .

    Hi Ankit,
At this time, MCA market is totally down. My suggestion is to go for B.Tech in IT. After that, you can do a job or if you wish to do further study, you have an option of M.Tech or MBA IT.

Nowadays, B.Tech in CS has much better demand and scope in market while BCA and MCA are just about particular softwares but if you go for B.Tech IT, do it from a good college, you will get very good placements.

The vital question is that which programme are you interested in and which is your area of interest. Engineering is quite in demand and moreover you have done non-medical, you can go for B.Tech. Programme from a known and reputed university or college. There are opportunities to enhance your knowledge, get good placements in reputed companies with a remarkable salary package.
