No matter how hard you tried to gain that much percentage in your class 12th, what matters is how much intellectual knowledge that you have in yourself. Even I have scored less than 70% in my academics, but I am doing well in my college and have achieved a very good knowledge. If you have the passion to study and want to achieve big then you should have the faith in you. If you are somehow planning to drop a year for preparing JEE mains then I should not suggest you to go with the idea because If somehow you got 1 lesser number than from the cut off then It will become the worst situation for you. So, go and apply for the open degree l

Board marks do not matter much (at least 75% one should have in board for being at the safe side) if you are focused on JEE but your this percentile is not so appreciable to get into IIT's. You should try hard in the April exam to get a good enough percentile to get IIT's.
    Good Luck.
