Galgotias University and Sharda University are all private college, which charge a hefty amount of money, but you'll definitely get good and competitive students along with lots of opportunities. Dropping is not a good decision always. Yes, it can turn out to be better but the chances are real low. Think about it and then go for dropping.

If you are confident enough that you will surely crack the same by next year then only I will suggest you to take a drop otherwise not.

Admission to IITs require real hard work, which depends on how passionate you are to try your level best. If you are serious enough and you have enough expertise to guide you through, then you can think of it. IITs are not the only good colleges if you are well prepared, you can get admission in any other good government college.
    All the best.

If you are not keen interested in computer languages, I don't recommend B.Tech in CSE or IT because in today's world there is a huge crowd of students in CSE and in near future there will be very tough competition in IT field.
So, think twice before taking CSE or IT or BCA.
