Yes you may write the UGC NET exam as Amity is an approved university by UGC.

Hi Satya, National Eligibility Test (NET) is the national level entrance examination for postgraduate candidates conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Examination is conducted in Humanities, Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science. As for the eligibility criteria : -Only those candidates are eligible to appear in NET who have completed/ are pursuing a UGC specified Master’s degree. -Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree from Universities recognized by UGC in Humanities are eligible for this Test. -Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree exam and whose result is still awaited may also appear. -Candidate should not be more than 28 years as on 1st June of the year of admission.
