I have scored 58% in 12th PCB, can I apply for agriculture course in LPU?

    Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry & either Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent subject to valid score in LPU NEST (Agriculture). For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.     Hi,Yes, absolutely you can do Graduation and Post-Graduation both in Agriculture in LPU. According to my best knowledge LPU is the first private University to have ICAR accreditation. In LPU there are 8 specializations in Masters of Agriculture; Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science and Agriculture Chemistry, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Horticulture (Fruit Science), Horticulture (Vegetable Science) and Horticulture (Floriculture and Landscaping).     Yes, you can easily apply for the same, but you will not be eligible for scholarship as you have scored less and for the rest of the information, just visit lpu.co.in.

    You are eligible to apply B.Sc in agriculture after completion of
    intermediate with 50% marks in PCM in 12th. Eligibility for B.Sc. Agriculture is you should have passed 12th with 60% with Physics, English, Chemistry, Maths/ Biology/ Forestry/ Agriculture as mandatory subjects.

    Yes, you can definitely apply for Agriculture. There are many private colleges offering Bachelors degree in Agriculture. Check the below link for list of private institutes

    As your 12th result is below 60% so you are supposed to give LPU NEST exam and once you cleared it you can easily get admission.

    Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:
    Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry & either Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent subject to valid score in LPU-NEST (Agriculture).

A gap of 1 to 2 years after 12th can be considered normal. Although the students should be able to address it via the valid documents. The reasons like health, finance, skill development or family are accepted.
