    National Testing Agency conducts the UGC NET Exam for those who are interested in lectureship and fellowship. Officials has prescribed some essential requirement to appear in UGC NET Exam. A candidate must have secured minimum 55% aggregate marks in his post-graduation to become eligible for NET Exam.     Yes, you are eligible for appearing in UGC NET Exam. You have completed your post-graduation with 58% and according to the norms of the UGC NET Exam, one should have PG Degree with a minimum of 55% marks for applying in the examination. Before to apply, you should remember that if you want to apply for Junior research fellowship (JRF) then your age must not be more than 30 years. But if you are going for lectureship than there are no upper age criteria.     Hi,
    Qualification:
    Candidates should have a minimum of 55% in their PG or an equivalent from any recognized university. UGC NET offers an exemption to candidates from the Other Backward Classes (OBC)/ ST/SC categories for up to 50%. Yes, you can apply for NET. Thanks.

    Yes, you are eligible to apply for NET with your scored marks of 58%, as the eligibility marks for appearing net is 55% for general category & for ST/ SC/ OBC 50 % is enough.

    Hello Ashit,
    Yes, you are eligible for the UGC NET Exam if you have scored 58% in post graduation. Because the eligibility criteria is minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters' if you belong to the general category or if you from OBC/SC/ST/PWD category then you should have minimum 50 % aggregate percentage. Along with this must check out the age criteria which is -
    The candidates who are applying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship must not age more than 30 years. There is no such upper age limit criteria for Assistant Professors. As per the latest notification, the official website of CBSE UGC NET Exam will begin the online appl

    Yes, you are eligible to apply. See your age limit criteria also. For JRF, the age limit is 28 years.
