    With this rank , it'll not be possible for you to get into NIT - Surathkal as the last rank for getting into NIT - Surathkal ( according to previous year cutoff was 9850 ALL India ( in OBC- NCL ) ) that is in mining engineering . And seems your rank is too below than that . Since , the things may change , hope if you can make it with this year cutoff . Best of luck.

    Chances are slightest if you have home state quota.
    Then only you can get it even in the last rounds.
