I have scored 70% marks in 12th borad in 2016. Am I eligible to give IIT Mains or Advanced in 2017 as per new rule?

It depends on your category. If you belong to SC/ST category, then don't worry. If you belong to OBC or general category, then you appear for improvement exam.

Sorry to say that but as per new guidelines, you are not eligible to give the 2017 JEE mains because from this year, you need at least 75% in class 12th, but if you give the improvements exam in this year then you can give the exam. Good luck.
