NIOS +2 is considered at par with any regular +2 offered by CBSE and other state/central bodies and stands valid for admissions to higher education courses.

Yes, NIOS is a board under ministry of HRD, government of India. It is a recognized board. If you pass your HSC/ senior secondary with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and mathematics in one attempt (means together) with 50% or more (depend on the university) you are eligible.
