I just completed my graduation this year & am now I'm interested in journalism & mass communication. How will it help me for my career?

Hi Siddhartha, Mass Communication is an interesting and rewarding career choice, especially for those who are good public speakers, have strong oration skills and have a knack of uncovering the truth. Mass communication refers to spreading of information to public or masses using a variety of media, viz. television, radio, internet, movies, newspapers etc. It is rapidly gaining recognition and students are getting attracted towards it. Mass Communications field has been around for a long while, the sheer proliferation of media into our lives now, through mediums such as television, newspaper, radio, advertising, PR etc., is greatly improving its popularity. Nevertheless, even as the internet is changing the game, the basic skills you need to succeed is still based around one thing: your ability to sell. Journalism and mass communication, although are used interchangeably, they are slightly different in principle. While mass communication is about conveying information, journalism refers to informing the masses about one particular information at one time and taking up research about it as well.
