I like archeology but it being a low paying job makes me rethink, is there a high paying career as an archeologist possible in any country?

The field is small, you are right the pay is not as high as many jobs. A Ph.D. will lead you to maximum hiring prospects. You may consider completing your doctoral degree and have a career in research and academics in this area. Greece, China, Korea, Europe, UAE almost every country has it's own demands and needs. Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii are some states with very good prospects. Go through news and business journals. Read this
