I'm a B.Com graduate. Is NSHM, Kolkata is a good choice for doing M.Sc in media studies?

NSHM is a good option for doing M.Sc. In media studies for the following reasons:

I won't suggest you this College to get into. It is just a mere money making institution there is very less focus on study and extra co circulars. The biggest thing is that they charge very high per semester, but it is waste of money, as they do not provide as such facilities what they charge. People take admission over here just to enjoy or those who don't get admission anywhere else. There is no competitive environment, no study environment. Good luck.
