I'm a btech student 1year 1 sem (cse). i wanna drop btech for mass communication. is it a good idea for my future?

As mass communication doesn't require any set formulas but Btech does, I wanna drop btech for mass and communication. I got 53% in 12th and I also have a good communication skill with ppl around me. With these qualities am I eligible for mass and communication or i shall drop this plan?
