As long as you know your objective of pursuing an MBA program, it would not matter as to what your background is. Yes, this would definitely add an advantage in career prospects pursuing an MBA degree in construction management after civil engineering. Masters in any thing has much more scope and it increases your knowledge in that particular field as well. But, it matters only if you really have interest in doing MBA after completing engineering.
