As long as you know your objective of pursuing an MBA program, it would not matter as to what your background is. However, pursuing a program which is in logical continuum with your basic qualification in the context of your long term career objectives is advised. There are specialized management programs for civil engineers who want to pursue construction/structural engineering related careers. You may want to look at those.

Yes, this would definitely add an advantage in career prospects pursuing an MBA degree in construction management after civil engineering. Check the RICS SBE course from the link mentioned here https://www.shiksha.com/college/rics-school-of-built-enviornment-noida-36312/course-mba-in-construction-project-management-167919 and know more about placements thereafter.

You can go for PGDM program after engineering. It's a great combination.
    Good luck.

Masters in any thing has much more scope and it increases your knowledge in that particular field as well. But, it matters only if you really have interest in doing MBA after completing engineering. By doing MBA from top colleges, you can directly become assistant manager. So you'll be having great opportunities after completing your MBA after civil engineering. Here are some options of stream in MBA you can choose from -
    Construction Management
    Infrastructure Management
    Project Management.
    Hope it helps you.Thank you.
