Yes, you can do. LPU offers Full Time and Part Time Ph.D. Programmes under various disciplines. Admission to the Ph.D. Programmes will be through LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) and Interview. Moreover, LPU offers flexible coursework options- 1) Classes on weekends (Saturday & Sunday only) 2) 4 days course work every month (Preferably every second week: Thu-Sun) 3)15 days course work (November/December) The entrance exam was on 24 and 26 july, If you have cleared that then you can proceed with the further process. Result will be out on August 3, 2020 And interviews from 11 to 16 August. Hope this helps DVD

Hello, Yes, you can definitely go for Ph.D. from LPU. You can look forward with Part Time Ph.D. option. Looking for a suitable option for Ph.D. I think it is even a tough task than looking for colleges for graduation and Masters. For a Ph.D. candidate you need lot of support from university side and since I am pursuing my Ph.D. from LPU, I am very thankful that university and my mentor is always at my help. I am currently working in Delhi and it is very difficult for me to manage my studies with my job. But I am grateful that LPU has given me flexi course work option, in which I can choose when I can visit the university as per my job and routines. Also, mentor alloted to me is very supportive and knowledgeable that he has solution to all my problems. He has helped me a lot in completing my thesis and throughout my research work. I also appreciate the efforts of university in having all the required infrastructure which has helped me a lot and saved my time and energy. I hope this helps. All the Best.

LPU also offers flexible coursework options- 1) Classes on weekends (Saturday & Sunday only) 2) 4 days course work every month (Preferably every second week: Thu-Sun) 3)15 days course work (November/December) The eligibility is: Masters degree with 55% aggregate marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to clearing LPU NEST and Interview. If you are UGC/NET qualified then you are exempted from LPU NEST but to avail the maximum scholarship it is advisable to appear in LPU NEST.

Hi there, the aim of LPU is to cater to all those who are interested in studies in whatever capacity they can. For working people LPU has part time and Ph.D. from distance learning. Both Full Time & Part time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part Time programme, applicants are required to submit an NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for Ph.D. programme. Duration of Ph.D. programme will be Minimum 3 Years & Maximum 6 Years (2 Years extra relaxation is also there for the female students). LPU offers flexible course work in three different options and tentative schedule is mentioned below: Option I Duration - One semester - August to November 2021 - Saturdays 03:00 P. M. - 05:00 P. M. Sundays 09:00 A. M. - 04:00 P. M. Option II Duration - 4 days* every month (*preferably every second week (Thursday-Sunday) September to December 2021- 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily) Option III Duration - 15 days - November to December 2021 - 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily) For Full Time Ph.D. students : After presenting a State-Of-the-Art (SOTA) seminar, there is a fair chance for the students to pursue teaching assistantship in LPU only. Though the selection completely depends upon the selection committee & requirement. There are huge scholarship opportunities for the Ph.D. students 1) Upto 90% for Full Time and 70% for Part Time on the basis of LPU NEST cut off 2) Scholarship of up to 90% of the Programme fee is offered in Ph.D. programmes on the basis of GATE/ GPAT/ SPM/ JRF/ NET (LS)/ affiliations and/ or research outcomes. For example candidates from Centrally Funded Research Labs/ Industry Professionals/ Teaching Fraternity etc. Are considered for various Scholarship.
