I'm a mechanical engineering student & would like to join weapon manufacturing sector in India, what can I do for it?

He/she opts for a B.Tech major in mechanical engineering. Then, he/she appears for GATE and if they have a valid GATE score, they give entrance test of various institutions which offer M.Tech in Mechanical engineering (Weapons). That is how you get into weapons manufacturing. Mechanical engineering is in the core of weapons manufacturing. Mechanical engineering is needed at various steps of weapons manufacturing. Setting up the manufacturing plant: As production technology is part of Mechanical engineering, from setting up the layout of a production line to the acquiring and fitting the machine, everything is seen over by people from the mechanical field. Design of weapons: Mechanical engineers specialising in design come into picture here. Most of the R&D work is done by mechanical personnel hear. From designing each bullet, testing its aerodynamics by CFD to design of each part of a gun, will it be structurally safe, will the weapon perform as needed, adjusting & lowering the recoil, all of that is taken care by a mechanical engineer. Production of these weapons: The machining, assembly or in all the production process of every weapon has to be chalked out by mechanical engineers. From maintaining high tolerances in the dimensions of weapons with efficient use of resources to maintain the quality of each weapon is done by mechanical engineers. This was just an overview. If you go deeper into weapons manufacturing, you'll find a heavier involvement of Mechanical engineering.
