I'm a student pursuing a BCA in India. I'm interested in a career in game development. What should be my next step?

Currently I'm learning c# and unity by myself.

If you are interested in game development then you should begin your career in 2D games and you should use game engines like Game Studios, Godot, Defold Engine, Cry Engine, Game Maker, etc. You should then opt for 3D games.

As you are a BCA student it'll be much easier for you to learn new programming languages as compared to a non-IT student. So, for game development I'd recommend you to learn C# Programming Language as it is the official language which is used in Unity Game Engine. Unity is one of the best game engines available in the market right now because of its policies towards Indie game developers. If you want to learn C# from beginning then you can follow this app:

You can go for courses in game development. There are many institutions which provide short-term and long-term courses in game development. You can join them or you can learn anything from YouTube, etc. Good luck.
