I'm confused between fashion design and fashion communication. Should one choose design at UG level and fashion comm. at PG level?

Hi Mukesh! You should understand the difference between both the courses. Fashion design is hardcore designing, research, cloth production, textile designing, etc. The fashion designers may join fashion houses/manufacturing/export units for a paid job or launch their own label in the market. Creating new products with regard to the latest trends prevailing in the market, the designers are key players in the fashion industry. Fashion communication, on the other hand, is about communicating and promoting your fashion brand.The curriculum includes areas such as graphic design, visual merchandising/retail experience design, exhibition and display design, event management, photography, styling, advertising, public relations and creative writing specific to fashion and lifestyle industry. As a fashion communication professional, you can work as a fashion writer, fashion journalist, photographer, PR professional and alike. Now you need to make your call whether you want to pursue the art of design as your career or you want to write and communicate a fashion brand.
