I'm doing 3rd yr BA Eng frm DU(open).I want to be a lecturer.so im confused to do B.ed frst or Ma frst?need to know the eligibility of both.

I hv secured 55% in 1st yr & 52% in 2 yr in BA eng.I m very confused so as to persue MA Eng frst or B.Ed frst. I want to gain experience also as it counts for being a lecturer.ll it do gud to me if I do tchng after B.Ed in sm school & persue Ma Eng by corrsp? want to knw eligibility for lecturership

Hi Deeksha, If you want to become a lecturer in a Government University you need to clear NET Examination and to appear for NET you need to have a Masters degree with 55% and above aggregate marks from a recognized University. To join State level University you need to appear for SET. For more inf

If you want to be a lecturer, BEd is not necessary, you need to do MA and PhD. If you want to be a school teacher, you need BEd and MA for PGT

You are eligible for BEd after completing BA you must opt Eng as teaching subject in BEd whether you do MA before or BEd before make no difference but as you have decided to become Eng lecturer then must do MA also
