I'm doing a Diploma in civil and this is my last year but I am from a UGC approved university, can I take admission in an AICTE college?

I don't want to waste a year & have given the government lateral joint exam (WBJELET), but then also no college is taking my admission. What can I do? Is y Diploma going to get waste?
