i m doing b.A. in GEOGRAPHY as major and economic as general course.2nd year(4th semester).what is my career option after graduation

Hi Gubin, 1) Once you are through with B.A. in Geography, there are various career options available. You may get placed in different organizations in the role of : -Demographers -Agricultural specialists -Urban and regional planners -Remote sensing specialists etc. You can also seek placement in research agencies for : -Environmental issues -Population studies -Rural development If your interest is towards teaching, you can work in : -Universities -Colleges -Schools -You can even start your own coaching institute after post graduation With so many career options mentioned above, I would suggest you to go for the one which matches your interest. 2) To add on, salary has always been the major concern of an individual. Generally, it depends on the size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc. But, to give you a brief view, * Graduate employed in research institutes and government departments : Rs 8,000- Rs 15,000 every year depending upon the superiority and experience. * In private companies the compensation is better with benefits such as medical allowances, house rent etc. * Geography teacher : Rs 10,000 - Rs 25,000 every month.
