There are people who do that. But there is an element of risk involved in taking a break from your academic opportunities. Loss of an academic year means loss of opportunities for academic studies as well as jobs. With every year, more and more students pass out from various institutions aspiring for a job and competition hikes. A gentle advice would be to continue your studies at the same time maximise your opportunities for admissions while availing of maximum opportunities for admissions. In the mean time along with your studies you may also look for betterment of prospects too without disillusionment.

Hi, I will agree with Suni207 and discourage you from taking a year break. Actually none can guaranteeon your CAT Score as it is calculated on percentile.
Since your MHCET Score is good you can look forward towards
    1. Kirloskar
    2. Indira
    3. IIEBM
    4. D.Y.Patil
else you can call me on 8335044230.
    Good Luck

If you are looking for premier B-Schools. Prepare well and write CAT again, if you are OK with tier 2 or 3 institutes fine go ahead.
