Every year, the Government of India provides over 3000 scholarships and seats to Nepali nationals through the Embassy of India in Kathmandu for study in India at the Ph.D. Masters, and Bachelors levels. There are two popular schemes to pursue a Ph.D. in India for Nepali citizens. AYUSH Scholarship Scheme:
Under this scheme, the Embassy of India provides admission to Ph.D. courses in the Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathic systems of medicine for study in Indian institutions. Silver Jubilee Scholarship Scheme:
Under this policy, admission is provided for Ph.D. in all streams except engineering, agriculture, medicine, and para-medical courses
