i m getting 5-6 thousand rank in aieee2011. kindly tell me what branch to choose?

The Branch you choose should depend on
1. Your Aptitude
2. Interest
3.Your Career Ambitions
4. Your personal Capacities and Capabilities.
5.Your skills of adaptability
Since you've got a good enough rank you plz choose the branch accordingly. I personally feel ECE/EEE are the best options .

it is better to choose ece, me, ie,civil, eee, now these branches are much more in demand and will get great placement.

It is good to choose Information Technology or Computer science.

Instead of anyone else telling you about your barnch of study, it is advisable you decide which branch do you like most and decide. As far as market demand is concerned, you may decide from Computer Sc, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or civil
