I'm getting computer science in DAIICT and SVNIT. Also, there is mechanical in NIT, Surathkal. Which one is best to choose among these 3?

1 We don't have computer Science as a course in DA. The actual course is ICT- information and communication technology and I assume you are thinking the minor in CS to be computer Science. A minor is an addition to the main branch you are studying and you will have to take a couple of courses extra than general ICT students and in DA CS is Computational Science, not computer Science. Given the choices I would prefer DA because of the extended exposure it gives in various fields.

NIT-K is better when you look for campus life & the location. But computer science is better than mechanical in terms of placements in most of the colleges that doesn't mean mechanical in NIT-K placements are bad. But CSE placements are the best. It's now your choice if you have interest in coding, you should take CSE but if you don't then you should go for mechanical.

Hello Mahaksh, it all boils down to your personal interest at the end of the day. If your only goal is getting into Computer Science, then you can opt from DAIICT or SVNIT. But, if you are not sure about Computer Science, then you can go for Mechanical Engineering in NIT Suratkhal. Hope this helps! All the Best!

So, based on all the above factors you have to decide which college suits you the best. I would advise you to take CS in SVNIT because nowadays, this branch is the most demanded one in major companies and the further study prospects are also high. However, if you do not have interest in coding an...more
