I'm in B.Com. After completing B.Com, should I prepare for CAT exams or should I work in a company & get work exp. and then go for CAT?

I am thinking of preparing for MAT exams and will undergo admission in this college, as I heard that CAT exams are really tough & I am an average student. So, can you help me or suggest me that I am taking the right decision or not?
