i m in b.e 3rd year,i opted for chemical engg.,now i want to know,is there any option other then gate

Hi Anjali, 1) After B.E. it is possible to pursue M.Tech without GATE. But, as a friend I would suggest you to opt for M.Tech after clearing GATE exam as it opens more doors of esteemed universities such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc. Universities offering M.Tech without GATE : -Aligarh Muslim University -Andhra University -Banasthali Vidyapeeth -Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya -University of Hyderabad -Indian Statistical Institute -Jawaharlal Nehru University -Punjabi University -University of Roorkee -Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning -Anna University and many more. You can write the institute specific exams and pursue M.Tech. 2) As for the scope of Petrochemical Engineering, you can find job opportunity in following companies : -Indian Oil Corporation -IBP Co Limited -Lubricants India -Oil Gas Group -Petrosil Group -Shiv-vani Universal -ONGC -Bharat Petroleum -Relaince Petroleum Limited -Indian LPG Apart from opting for professional career, you can also do research work for further development of the field.
