I'm in class 12th, medical CBSE board. Can I take maths additional in the state board? Will colleges in India, USA or Canada consider it?

Students can download the CBSE Class 10 Maths Syllabus PDF from cbseacademic.nic.in. Open the Curriculum section, choose the 2026-27 curriculum and click on Mathematics.

The CBSE Class 10 Maths exam pattern 2027 has 38 questions in five sections. Students must answer all of them. The paper is of 80 marks and runs for 3 hours. Calculators are not allowed.

CBSE has not shared a separate deleted list for the CBSE Class 10 Maths syllabus. But some topics have limits. For example, segment area is asked only for 60°, 90° and 120°

Algebra has the highest marks at 20. It covers Polynomials, Pair of Linear Equations, Quadratic Equations and Arithmetic Progressions. Geometry comes second with 15 marks.

The CBSE Class 10 Maths Syllabus 2027 has seven units. The theory paper carries 80 marks and internal assessment carries 20 marks. Algebra has the highest weightage with 20 marks.
