i m in second yr rite now....n i ll be gvg my GRE now as m gng for student exchange program in 3rd yr first sem....so when i apply for institutions for PG with my GRE score...it will be a year old....is it that the universities might prefer students with latest GRE scores??? i was told by someone!

What you have heard is wrong. Universities recommend students not using more than 3 year old scores even if the validity is 5 years. Therefore, you will not face any problem if you apply with a GRE score that is 1 year old.
