I'm in the 12th bio now n want to b a news reader or a similar position please tel me d series of courses and degrees to go thru????

as in after 12 should i take a degree in eng or go straight for mass comm?? also in mass comm what i should opt for?? what if i"m not selected as a news reader would mass comm get me into other jobs like PR etc.? wat is the duratiion of this course?
