    Hi Suvajit!
    You need to know at least some basic drawing skills in order to present your ideas and concepts to the prospective clients. Hence it is a major part of your design career and will be evaluated in the entrance exam as well. Switching the field of career from commerce to design is not a problem but you need to be sure if you really want to pursue this career. There is a scarcity of professional interior designers in our country. With more and more people willing to get their residence and working areas designed according to their taste, there has been a great demand for experienced interior designers.

    If you choose any good college like graffiti institute of fashion technology, Indore, they will teach you basic drawing & observation skills in 1st year. So, there is no need to worry. Drawing skills can be acquired by right technique under good teachers and hard work by constant practice.
