I'm preparing for CEED 2019. Can you please explain how are Part A and Part B scores used?

Part A score is used only as a cut-off, whereas Part B is evaluated only if the candidate's scores are above certain marks in Part A. Apart from this, the Part A scores have no role to play in a candidates CEED score. Part B score is considered as the CEED score. Is this true?
