Hi, Master of Social Work is Post Graduate Degree in the Social Work, a two year course for gradates in social work or related field, united under UGC.
As for the syllabus, eligibility and admission criteria I would suggest you to visit the official website i.e, www.nirmalaniketan.com
The exam is of objective type with minimum 100 marks. The areas covered are General Knowledge, Reasoning Ability, Social Work and Verbal Ability. For preparation one can go with Competition success, GK books for general areas. But for the social work area, the suggested books are:

Hi Ansuman, Good to know that you want to become a social worker and work in the development sector. Well, the entrance pattern varies from university to university.but the common topics for the entance are
1. Human rights and Child rights
2. Laws and acts related to women and child welfare
3. General Awareness
4. Communication Skills
There will also be a descriptive part which is based on some case studies and the possible solutions which you'd like to give incase you come across such situations.

Hi Anshuman, there are many jobs for the students who have done Master in Social work. To pursue MSW, one must be graduate. Anthropologists, sociologists and Psychologists are also suitable for the professional training social workers. Graduates in Sociology / Social Work / Psychology get preference. Written test and interviews are taken for the admissions.
As for the work opportunities, they work with community groups, government and voluntary agencies, clinics, hospitals, sanatorium, etc.
