what is` an ias and how i make an ias.i dont know any thing about an Ias.

    Shams@ hi priyankaIts great that you are so ambitious.IAS is not impossible to crack. ut if you have the right direction then you can easily crack it.I will tell you some tips to crack the preliminary exam of IAS.     Hi Priyanka,You need to be a graduate to apply for IAS exam. IAS comprises of three levels of exams. The very first level is Preliminary which consists of Objective choice /optional papers, General Studies, then next level comes which is 'Mains' which is Subjective type and contains sections as Optional papers, General Studies, Essay writing, English, and then finally last but not the least and the most difficult level or phase comes, which is Interview.IAS exam requires intensive and extensive study of at least a year.First go through the syllabus available at book shops, select your subjects and prepare to hit the bull's eye.     Since you are in Haryana, I would advice you to join a reputed coaching instuitute in Delhi or get study material from one of them. Read newspaper particularly 'The Hindu'. Discuss with felow students and enhance your knowledge on current affairs.

    start preparation for general study , tatamacgraw hill or spectrum book both are good for general study , math from 6-10 class prefer arihant publication book, CSR magazine for current affairs and english
