I'm pursuing BE in mechanical engineering but detained. What should I do in this gap during my academics?

You are advised to clear your backlogs after putting sufficient effort. You are further advised to concentrate in your remaining engineering studies and do very well. If you are able to achieve good final score, any recruiter will condone your gap year. You may go for higher studies like M.Tech or MBA to cover the gap year because your selection will be based on PG score.
