I'm pursuing Diploma in automobile engineering (3rd year). Can I join IIT to pursue aeronautical engineering as lateral entry admission?
Is the entrance exam compulsory for IIT Aero. Engg.? Which exam? Please Guide me about the admission process.

Hello Nagesh,
No, you cannot. There are no lateral entry admissions in IITs and NITs till now.
So, you may opt for other colleges through lateral entry.

No, you cannot join IITs through lateral entry after a diploma. Institutes like Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and other Indian Institutes of Technology only admit students into B.Tech (including aeronautical/aerospace) through the regular first-year route via Joint Entrance Examination Ad
