I'm pursuing my mech engg 2nd year 2nd sem. I want to do my internship . Am i eligible for internship.What is the criteria to be an intern?

I'm pursuing my B.tech mechanical engg 2nd year 2nd sem in hyderabad.. I Want to do internship..Suggest me few firm where i can do my internship? I approached a company in hyderabad,they said only 4th year students are eligible for internship? What do you suggest?
