    **Mathematics is an academic subject whereas Business Statistics is a part of Applied Mathematics
    **Mathematics deals with numbers, patterns and their relationships whereas Statistics is concerned with systematic representation and analysis of data with business concern
    **Mathematical concepts are freely used in Business Statistics
    **Mathematics form the basis of our understanding of quantity and measurement whereas Statistics makes understanding of data easy and convenient.

    Mathematics is a basic subject that is taught from elementary levels in schools, initially it deals in numbers and basic operations are taught to kids so as to be able to deal with real life situations such as counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
