    Find out an area of interest for yourself. Figure out which subject appeals to you most. For example though I was a PCM student I did not like to study Chemistry. For such a person choosing a line like Pharmacy or similar one would have been disastrous. It is easy to say that there are many off-beat courses but not possible to list all of them. My advice will be that all major newspapers ( I read only the English news papers, you may try other vernacular papers ) have an education section which they publish once a week. They carry loads of information about such courses, their job opportunities etc. That is where you will get relevant

    After 12th, you can go for military, Railway, SSC, and many more small level jobs. You should apply for jobs after graduation, as there will be more options and greater posts, similar to that of officers. To apply for jobs you have to check the official websites of different authorities.
