I passed class 12th from non-medical stream with 59%. Is it good to go for BE CSE or ECE?

I am a person with a technical mind and don’t know the scope of mechanical engineering. I am confused since all the counselling sessions says that I should go for mechanical but other people are guiding me to go for CSE. What should I choose?
