    Yes, you can take. You don't need to worry. In college, they will teach you from the basics. You will learn it well. And CSE has more scope than others as of current situation.

    If you are good with math then you can take admissions in B.Tech CSE, as the real knowledge is in B.Tech only. It will be technical degree so if you are comfortable to have a career in Technology then you can pursue it. Some universities are providing scholarship and very good placements like Amity University, Lovely Professional University, etc. You can even call them or visit them to check and discuss the syllabus.

    You have plenty of times before joining IIIT-H. So, you can learn and develop coding skills in these 40 days. So, now what you can do in these 40 days? Since you are a beginner, so you choose C programming language. If you give 3 hours -4 hours per day, then you will learn a lot in 40 days. Buy this book let us C - by Y. Kanetkar. Start reading from the first chapter and practice the examples in any compiler. Go to this web page: learn C programme from there. You can practice programming on-line also. Go to either of these following websites and practice online programming.
