No. CBSE has said there is no change in the question paper design for the 2026-27 session. The old pattern will continue.

The official PDF does not give a deleted list. But some topics are tested only in school. These include The Age of Industrialisation and parts of three other chapters.

The theory paper is for 80 marks. Schools give 20 more marks through internal assessment. So the subject is marked out of 100 in total.

The syllabus lists 14 practical experiments. They cover topics like pH, reactions, resistance, lenses, stomata and seed parts. Practical work carries 5 marks in internal assessment.

The CBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus 2026-27 has 13 chapters for the board exam. They are spread across five units, from Chemical Substances to Natural Resources.
