Physics and maths are the main subjects for all engineering branches but if your choice is chemical engineering or biotech then chemistry and biology are important.

You should prepare maths and physics properly as they can get you a good score in JEE Mains as well as JEE ADVANCE. Chemistry however should also not be neglected. Before giving the paper you should know that chemistry will make you qualify the exam but physics and maths will give you a good score. All the best.

    Dear,
There are two important phases related to your query - No.1) +2 board result and cracking of joint entrance exam No. 2) For the purpose of B.Tech study.
For the purpose of No. 1 you are to go through all the subjects of your combination with equal importance.
For No. 2. Focus on Physics and Mathematics is very much important in engineering and Chemistry is for those who aspire for chemical engineering.

Your main focus should be on the 3 core subjects that are Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
