I passed my board exams in 2025. Can I give my improvement exam next year (2026) as a private candidate, without giving it this year?

Yes you can give your improvement exam in 2026 as a private candidate. According to the CBSE rules a candidate who has passed an examination can reappear for improvement of performance in one or more subjects in the succeeding year only.

Hey, is it possible to take the improvement exam by registering through school in the succeeding year of passing 12th?
