i read somewher that mca correspondence through IGNOU is good but the course is not up to date ans does not meet with with industry standards is it true? also it does not give practical exposure? do they provide placements?

No there is no placement assistance.

yes to some extend these things are right.....better to go for SMU, MDU, PTU
