I scored 495.50 in MAT. Should I apply again for better marks? I want to give GMAT too. Is it tough?

I've scored 495.50 in MAT but wishing to give it once more. But I wish to study abroad. So, can I go for GMAT? Is it tougher than MAT? I am 26-years old. How many more attempts can I give? Which one will be better MAT or GMAT as there is less time?
